The Position…
The Intern’s primary responsibility consists of providing K logix with an initial point of contact for; end-user data security, defined information security research as well as documentation and tracking of internal information security goals. The Intern must possess the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment. This role has potential opportunities to shadow existing members of the Info/Cybersecurity Services team to better understand the security landscape, learn how to analyze risk levels, and identify areas of exposure.
You Will Need To…
- Periodically review and update K logix’s security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Conduct focused security market research and present results to K logix team members.
- Administer testing and evaluation of various technologies by applying K logix’s methodology, build LAB environments, work with live malware samples, and record findings.
You Should Have…
- Strong attention to detail and a can-do attitude.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- General knowledge of Info/Cybersecurity.
- Knowledge of Windows, MAC operating systems, O365, VMware, and Security software.
Education…
- Working towards a Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Information Technology, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science (required).
- Information Technology and/or Information Security certifications (a plus)

Info/Cybersecurity Technical Writer Intern

The Position…
The Intern’s primary responsibility consists of refining and/or creating consistent, defined technical consulting material as well as general support. The Technical Writer must possess the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
You Will Need To…
- Review and update K logix’s library of Cybersecurity Technical Documentation.
- Quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and graphics.
- Adhere and contribute to established documentation standards and styles.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of documentation and company quality standards.
- Ensure integrity and consistency of all material.
- Transition between multiple projects and adhere to deadlines.
- Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor.
You Should Have…
- Strong attention to detail and be self-directed with a can-do attitude.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills. Technical writing experience (highly Desired).
- Exceptional proofreading skills, command of English language grammar and familiarity with style guides.
- Knowledge of technical concepts specifically Info/Cybersecurity and/or Information Technology.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel), including familiarity with using styles, templates, formulas, etc.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus

- Emerging cyber threats, risks & countermeasures including insider threat, behavioral analytics, KPIs/KRIs, IoT, risk-based adaptive authentication, AI, UEBA, supply chain compromise, etc.

Education…

Security Consultant, Penetration Tester Intern/Co-op

The Position…
The Security Consultant’s (Intern/Co-op) primary responsibility consists of executing penetration testing alongside experienced penetration testing team members on customer engagements. The Consultant Intern will gain knowledge and experience in one or more of the following Security Domains: Network Penetration Testing, Application Penetration Testing and/or Vulnerability Scanning. In addition, the intern must possess the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced highly driven environment. This role will shadow existing members of the Security Testing Division/team. Candidate will gain understanding of the security landscape including discovering threats, analyzing risk levels, recognizing areas of exposure, and creating a roadmap for identified vulnerabilities.
You Will Need To…
- Value and understand the Information/Cybersecurity landscape.
- In concert with Security Consultants, execute penetration testing on customer applications and networks and execute in-depth analysis of the security posture, perform secure code reviews and threat analysis.
- Develop proof of concept exploits, allowing customers to observe potential extent of identified vulnerabilities.
- Occasionally develop tools or scripts to provide automation for security testing and exploit proof of concepts.
- Conduct focused Information/Cybersecurity research and present results back to K logix team members.
- Work to meet customer and project deadlines.
You Should Have…
- An understanding of common security issues/concepts and general knowledge of security methodologies, solutions, and best practices.
- Some quality experience with programming languages such as: Java, C#, C, C++, SQL
- Experience with at least one scripting language: Python, Perl, or Ruby
- A basic understanding of how web, application, and Internet protocols function.
- Strong attention to detail and be self-directed with a can-do attitude.
- Effective and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- A Plus: Knowledge of OWASP and CWE concepts. Experience with security tools, such as: Burp Suite (or equivalent attack proxy), Nessus (or equivalent vulnerability scanner), Metasploit Framework, Static Analysis tools. Public examples of security research (such as blog posts, bug bounty reports, or open-sourced security tools).
